Idaho Timber to Shut Plant, Lay Off 26 in Montana
Post Views 3Idaho Timber of Montana is shutting its manufacturing plant in Whitefish, and laying off 26 workers.
Sixteen workers were laid off this week — the other ten will be cut loose over the next three months. One week’s severance pay will be offered.
The Idaho Timber plant opened in 1979, and produced wood boards for Lowe’s and Home Depot.
Idaho Timber of Montana is an affiliate of Idaho Timber, and headquartered in Whitefish.
