230 CVS Caremark employees will lose their jobs after March 31st when the company closes its mail service pharmacy facility in Largo, near Tampa Bay.

The company is said to be closing due to integration activities related to the 2007 merger of CVS Corp. and Caremark Rx Inc, according to company spokesman Mike DeAngelis.

The company is attempting to place the affected employees with other jobs in the company, including jobs at retail stores. If those positions simply aren’t available, those employees will be eligible for outplacement support, counseling and a transition package covering financial and health benefits.

CVS Caremark Corp has around 190,000 employees across the country.
