Two Plants in Nebraska to Layoff 83 Employees
Post Views 2A Thermo King plant in Hastings, Nebraska has announced another round of layoffs. In addition, a plant in Fremont, Nebraska will be laying off 10 percent of their staff.
Representatives for Thermo King claim have announced that they will cut 70 employees at their Hastings plant and that the layoffs will go into effect on February 19th. This comes after the same plant laid off 21 workers in January. This reduces the total number of employees to 230.
The Thermo King Corporation is based in Bloomington, Minnesota and is a unit of Ingersoll rand Company Limited. They are the world leader in transport temperature control systems for trucks, trailers, shipboard containers, and railway cars as well as HVAC systems for bus, shuttle and passenger rail applications.
The Fremont plant, an Oilgear Co. plant, will lay off 13 employees, which is expected to go into effect on Friday.
