The Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, or Tri-ED, helped create 3,918 jobs due to its efforts in 2008.

An economic impact analysis prepared by Northern Kentucky University’s Center for Economic Analysis and Development noted that expansions and new businesses are expected to create 1,829 primary jobs and 1,566 indirect jobs, for a total impact of more than $572 million in business sales in Northern Kentucky.

That will result in total Greater Cincinnati job creation of 3,918 jobs, and nearly $719 million in business sales.

The economic development agency worked with a total of 20 new or expanding projects in 2008, including ADP, the Kentucky National Guard, and the United States Playing Card Company.
