PPG Will Cut 2,500 Jobs
Post Views 0PPG Industries, the world’s second-biggest paint maker, will cut an additional 2,500 jobs to trim costs because of slowing auto and manufacturing sales.
Pittsburgh-based PPG will shut a French facility and other small operations. More plants may be shuttered in the future.
In January, the firm cut jobs in North American and western Europe
CEO Charles E. Bunch is eliminating more than 8% of the workforce, including the 1,357 jobs cut late last year.
