Roche Roche’s purchase of San Francisco’s Genentech will cost 1,500 jobs in New Jersey, as sales and marketing positions are cut.

Roche will change its name to Genentech.

Roche, which has its US HQ in Nutley, New Jersey, plans to cut jobs in New Jersey and relocate major operations to California.
