Magna Electronics to Create 190 Jobs

MagnaMagna Electronics has announced they will open a technical and engineering center in Rochester Hills, Michigan next month.

The new facility will have an anechoic chamber with a dynamometer, and other testing capabilities.

Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett says the company will create 90 new jobs, and 75 workers will move from other offices in Detroit to the new facility. More than 100 spin-off jobs also will be created.

Magna has a contract with Ford Motor to provide technology for new vehicles.

Magna will receive a 3.4 million dollar tax credit approved by the Michigan Economic Growth Authority. Rochester Hills city leaders also have approved an eight-year tax abatement.
