Mosinee, Wisconsin-based Wausau Financial Systems has laid off 24 workers, including 14 in Mosinee.

Founded in 1974, Wausau offers payment, remittance and document processing software and hardware solutions for financial and commercial businesses in the United States. It offers payment solutions, including fraud protection, archive, lockbox, image quality, and exception processing capabilities, before the transaction is processed for electronic clearing.

It employs 400 workers.
