AccionaAcciona Windpower, a subsidiary of Spain-based Acciona Energy, will cut 58 jobs in West Branch, Iowa at its only US plant.

The company will continue limited production at the plant, hoping that economic stimulus package money will allow the West Branch facility to return to previous production and staffing levels.

The West Branch plant went operational in 2007.

Earlier this year, Clipper Windpower in Cedar Rapids laid off 90 workers.
