Tennessee Spending $25 Million on Youth Job Creation
Post Views 0The State of Tennessee is accepting applications for a summer youth jobs program funded by $25 million in federal stimulus funds.
The program will create 12,000 jobs for low-income and at-risk teens and young adults between 14 and 24.
The state’s Department of Labor and Workforce says there are more than 45,000 unemployed young people in Tennessee.
The deadline to submit applications at local Tennessee Career Centers is May 15th.
