University of Iowa Hospitals and ClinicsThe University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics will cut more than 200 jobs in fiscal 2010.

The cuts will be made through through attrition, early retirements and layoffs, to trim $45 million from the budget.

UIHC employees 6,600 people.

UIHC is part of University of Iowa Health Care, a partnership between the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
