Study: New Casinos Would Create 34,000 Jobs
Post Views 0A study by the University of Cincinnati’s Economics Center for Education & Research predicts 34,000 new jobs for the state, if taxpayers approve a ballot issue allowing the construction of casinos in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo and Columbus.
The Ohio Jobs & Growth Committee commissioned the study, which predicts that the initial construction phase in 2010 would create 19,000 jobs. Another 16,000 would be hired when the casinos open.
The Committee has collected over twice the signatures needed to get the initiative on the ballot.
