80 Layoffs Pending At The Los Angeles Times
Post Views 0It is being reported by Reuters that the Los Angeles Times is planning to terminate printing operations in Orange County, CA. The closing of their Orange County printer would create around 80 layoffs.
LA Times publisher Eddy Hartenstein, wrote a memo recently explaining how the paper could create “substantial savings” by condensing its printing operations into one facility.
The LA Times has already made efforts to reduce costs. They have reduced the paper’s width from 48 inches to 44 inches, and have removed the stand-alone Monday business section.
