Macy’s To Cut 1,500 Store-Level Jobs
Post Views 2Macy’s Inc. will eliminate 1,500 store-level jobs effective March 6, Bloomberg is reporting.
The news agency reports Macy’s is firing department managers and merchandising team managers and that full-time stock positions will also be cut. Earlier this month, Macy’s announced it was closing five of its underperforming stores, which would affect 307 employees.
Macy’s is the second-biggest U.S. department-store chain and employs about 167,000.
