Johnson Controls Cuts 321 Jobs in Bay Area
Post Views 0Manufacturer Johnson Controls, based in Livermore, Calif., is eliminating 321 jobs at its production center. The cuts were revealed in an official company filing with state and local officials.
According to the Mercury News, Johnson will trim 240 jobs in late March. The remainder will come after the nearby NUMI auto plant, which Johnson provides parts for, closes. The cuts are a direct result of the auto plant’s closing, according to the filings. There have been a total of 1,400 jobs lost in the area as the result of the NUMI shutdown.
