Many hotel jobs and restaurant jobs have an executive chef position available, but before you can move on to any type of position, you will need the proper training. In many cases you will find that various vocational schools offer the training you would need to take restaurant jobs or even hotel jobs, but if you want to rise to the position of executive chef or even hire, you will need to make sure that you have additional training at an accredited institution.

Once you have the training you need, you will need to compose a resume, though in the beginning you might be seeking out an apprenticeship rather than a full time job. One of the most important things you can remember is that while you may start out at the bottom, you will eventually work your way up, and at some point you may find yourself working in some of the more prestigious hotels and restaurants. When it comes to the food industry, the sky really is the limit, and you can really go just as far as you want to.

When you’re sending out your resume make sure that you take into account the various hotel jobs and even kitchen jobs. A chef’s salary is not always up to par with other salaries, but once you climb the ranks and show that you possess a certain amount of skill, you will undoubtedly discover that your dream of a cushy lifestyle has come to pass, and you’ve arrived simply by doing what you love!
