GLOBALFOUNDRIES Appoints New Corporate VP

GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the world’s third largest independent semiconductor foundry, has appointed Kathy Borneman as its senior vice president of human resources.

Borneman is new to the company and will join CEO Doug Grose on the company’s executive leadership team at the Silicon Valley headquarters. Borneman will head development for Globalfoundries human resources department around the world.

“Kathy brings an impressive background to our executive team with more than 25 years experience in human resources management and organizational development, including extensive technology and industry experience,” said Grose. “As we grow our global workforce, Kathy’s experience and leadership will be key factors in our ability to lay the foundation for long-term growth.”

Before joining Globalfoundries, Borneman was the corporate vice president of worldwide human resources for Xilinx, where she supported 3,500 employees across the world. Prior to that position, she served under the same title at the 2,300 employee-large Cadence Design Systems.
