Google Buys Admeld for About $390 Million

Google has purchased Admeld in order to strengthen their presence in the market for online display marketing. While no official purchase price has been released, it is rumored to be in the region of $390 million. The purchase gives Google access to Admeld’s major clients such as News Corp., CBS, IDG and Weather.com, all who use Admeld’s technology to help decide which ads to take on a real-time basis and at what price.
