New Mexico panel lays off 27 state workers
Post Views 0Rather than placing the workers to other state jobs, the New Mexico State Personnel Board has cut the jobs of 27 state workers. Adding to the unemployment problem, the union workers have also complained that they are replacing the full time workers with temporary part time workers, and the interesting thing is that they have been fired, then rehired. The blame is given to the increase in expenses and the governor has also proposed to merge few state agencies so as to limit the expenses and keep the workers hired.
