Army opens jobs in combat battalions to women

Opening of jobs by Army to women in combat battalions is a welcome step and a right way of recognizing the immense contribution made by women, who had served in the Army since the Revolutionary War. Once talent is identified, be it in men or women, it has to be tapped and channeled properly as being done in the headquarters of infantry, armor and cavalry. It’s heartening to note that the gender divide is closing down in the Army.
