General Atomics to add 25 jobs in Shannon, Miss. – Sacramento Bee

General Atomics is a firm based in San Diego manufacturing electromagnetic system used for launching planes from Naval Aircraft Carriers. It is expanding its plant near Tupelo. It is a 140,000 square foot building with an investment of $12 million. They have a plan to increase 25 jobs over a 3 year period. General Atomics has a plan to increase production for commercial as well as government markets in the newly built facility. The plant has gone through expansion from 2005 in stages. The expansion was done with the help of incentives from government and local members.
