Lawmakers Should Enact Policies for Manufacturing, Jobs Restoration

In the most recently passed election cycle, much money was spent on advertisement promoting the idea of American manufacturing job creation. In Colorado alone, about $37 million dollars was spent on television advertising. Several suggestions about stopping the loss of American manufacturing jobs to foreign competition, especially China, were made. These include help for companies in the US to combat the results of currency manipulation by the Chinese government, and the contract provision of ensuring the use of homegrown supply chains for government projects.
