New Lex police layoffs mulled to lower deficit

New Lexington Police Department are part of a plan to reduce the village?s general fund deficit. The village?s Fire/EMS fund has an almost $430,000 deficit. The public will continue to be served. Police Chief Scott Erwin and city administrators say they have been working diligently for the past year to try to remedy the deficit issue.
