IO Interactive Hit with Layoffs

Video game developer, IO Interactive, is reducing its staff by nearly 50 percent and will concentrate efforts on the Hitman series. A company statement said that in an effort to meet the challenges of today’s changing video game market, the studio will focus on the Hitman franchise and cancel other ongoing or planned projects, resulting in the workforce reduction. Hitman Absolution, the most recent release by IO Interactive, sold over 3.5 million units and earned positive reviews.
