Post Views 0When the existence of the NSA’s Prism program came to light, the Obama administration attempted to calm fears and outrage by insisting that the surveillance was not of U.S. citizens or those living in the United States. Unfortunately, that did not assuage the anger of Europeans, who have not eroded as many privacy protections due to the war on terror and were not pleased that their data was shared without their consent. The EU is expected to act swiftly and decisively to protect European data and punish Silicon Valley companies who compromised European privacy.
