Sending Thank You Notes

Q: I forgot to send my thank you notes and my interview was over a month ago. Should I still send them?

A: You should always send thank you notes. It is still the “golden rule”. If you do not thank someone for the effort they have taken to open their schedule to meet with you, then you may not receive a second chance. Even if you send your notes later, it still gives you a chance to reconnect and to help them refresh their memory about you. You may also wish to include a “revised” copy of your resume. Additionally, don’t ever forget to thank the scheduler or executive assistant.
