Combating the worst PC slump on record, Best Buy and Microsoft are setting up Windows stores in over 500 outlets across the US and in Canada. Windows stores will promote machines equipped with its Windows 8 operating system, the Windows Phone, as well as the Xbox gaming machine. Experiencing an $81 million first-quarter loss, Best Buy also struck an agreement with Samsung, allowing the electronics giant to open mini stores in its Best Buy outlets to be serviced by Samsung employees. Other changes for Best Buy include the appointment of Scott Moore to VP-US marketing.
