Cigna Names Rosanna Durruthy as New Chief Diversity Officer

Cigna, the global health services company headquartered in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, named Rosanna Durruthy as their Chief Diversity Officer, a newly created position responsible for Cigna’s diversity strategy.  Durruthy will report directly to Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resouces Officer John Murabito.

According to Murabito, “Rosanna brings 25 years of innovative thought leadership and strategy in human capital management, as well as diversity and inclusion.  The role of chief diversity officer is more important than ever for Cigna as we expand our global presence and reach an increasingly wide range of individuals with our products and services. Her experience and leadership of global diversity efforts will be valuable in integrating diversity into every aspect of our business, including workforce, customers, suppliers, products and services.”

Durruthy was the CEO and chief talent strategist of AEQUUS Group, LLC, a consulting practice, where she worked on social network analyzing and developing diverse emerging leaders.  She also held human resource leadership positions with Blockbuster and Merrill Lynch, as well as the chief diversity officer at Vivendi Universal.

Cigna offers services and products in more than twenty seven countries and jurisdictions, with about 60 million customer relationships worldwide.  They provide a suite of health services, including vision care, pharmacy, behavioral health, dental, and medical services.
