Convergys, a customer relations service corporation based in Cincinnati, Ohio, plans to hire 260 more employees for their Moore, Oklahoma call center. Convergys has over 65,000 employees in 68 customer service contact centers worldwide. The Moore call center employs some 700 of those.
The new positions, both full and part-time, will begin at $9 an hour, complete with incentives for qualified workers. The benefits include paid and unpaid time off, a 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and medical, dental, and vision insurance. Training sessions, which will begin this month, will be five weeks long and paid, with new sessions continuing through the new year. The new hires will primarily work customer support for an entertainment industry client.
Sean Carney, the leader of the Convergys call center in Moore, said, “Anticipated growth at our site has allowed us to bring employment opportunities to our local community.
