Vintner Constellation to Cut 400 Jobs

Constellation, which owns brands like Robert Mondavi and Clos du Bois, had already begun cutting costs in its UK business.
The company currently has 8,000 employees .
The company sold more than 40 brands, including Chi-Chi’s premixed cocktails, to Sazerac for $334 million.
Constellation will consolidate the operations of its remaining spirits brands, which include Svedka Vodka and Black Velvet Canadian Whisky, into its North American wine operations.
Constellation Brands, headquartered in Fairport, New York, is a large international producer and marketer of beverage alcohol brands.
