go_up_graphThe unemployment rate in Oklahoma hit its highest level in 21 years last month, coming in a 7.1%. The good news is that even though unemployment continued to rise, the state added 8,000 jobs in the same time frame, many of which have not yet been filled. The biggest gains, in what is quickly becoming a trend, were in professional and business services and in the health care sector. Because professional services is a leading indicator, the wide spread growth in this industry is being viewed by some analysts as a sign that the job market is finally starting to rebound, even if the impacts of that rebound aren’t felt until early next year.
