Fiscal cliff indecision leaves paychecks up in the air

The lack of a deal over the fiscal cliff is effecting how employers will cut checks for the last week in December. Those who process payroll will not have a definite guideline on the amount of taxes that should be withheld if a deal is not reached by Thursday of next week. If a deal is not reached it is likely that those who do payroll will just continue using the 2012 guidelines, at least for the time being.
