Jack Daniel’s to Cut 250 Workers
Post Views 4Louisville, Kentucky-based liquor manufacturer Brown-Forman will cut its work force by 250 employees, mostly in the United States and Mexico.
The remainder of the layoffs will affect Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The maker of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey employs 4,100 people.
The distiller is offering early retirement to certain US workers; eliminating merit increases; and cutting discretionary spending.
The company’s other brands include Canadian Mist, Southern Comfort, Early Times Kentucky Whisky, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Old Forester Bourbon whiskey, Korbel champagne, Fetzer wine, Finlandia vodka, and Bolla wine.
