Starbucks Chief Executive Officer Howard Schultz says no more layoffs are expected for the nation’s largest coffee chain.  The company also does not expect to announce changes at the rapid pace that is has for the past year.

“I don’t think we’ll see as many, no,” Schultz said of the number of new products and innovations from the Seattle coffee company going forward.
Since coming back on board as the CEO last year, Schultz cut 8,700 jobs, closed 975 stores, and made many significant changes in the Starbucks menu.
The announcement came at the same time as Starbucks’ announcement of its new instant coffee, Via.  The instant coffee alternative  wil first be available in Seattle and Chicago, then London later this month.  It is the latest attempt from Starbucks to gain ground in the industry, this time by joining in the $17 billion instant coffee market.
