Post Views 8Electro-Motive Diesel has informed 347 workers at its LaGrange, Illinois plant that they will lose their jobs in April.
The locomotive manufacturer has operations in London, Ontario as well as in La Grange.
The Canadian Auto Workers union announced in late January that Electro-Motive’s Ontario plant will cut about 600 out of 900 hourly positions.
Electro-Motive Diesel, formerly the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors Corporation, is currently the world’s second largest builder of railroad locomotives in terms of overall sales.
