Over 800 Queue Up for Buffalo Bisons Jobs

More than 800 lined up for the Buffalo Bisons job fair, applying for 91 seasonal positions.

Concession workers, cashiers and cooks are needed at the baseball stadium.

“We won’t hire anyone on the spot here today. We want to make sure that we talk to everyone first and then sometime next week we’ll be in touch with them,” said Bisons PR Director Brad Bisbing.

Buffalo, New York’s unemployment rate is now 9%, higher than the national rate of 8.1%.

The Buffalo Bisons are a minor league baseball team which plays in the International League. They are the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, and play in Coca-Cola Field stadium, located in downtown Buffalo.
