Kaiser to Cut 860 IT Jobs
Post Views 0Oakland, California health care giant Kaiser Permanente will eliminate 860 jobs, restructuring its information technology unit and outsourcing its IT work to IBM.
An estimated 700 people will be on the street as IBM takes over managing Kaiser’s data center.
Kaiser will cut an additional 160 jobs as Kaiser “realigns” its IT functions.
As of 2006, Kaiser Permanente operates in nine states and Washington, DC, and is the largest managed care organization in the United States.
