Partnership Created 870 Ohio Jobs in 2008
Post Views 0The Cincinnati USA Partnership for Economic Development helped close 13 new economic development projects in 2008, creating 870 new jobs and more than $683 million in total investment.
The Partnership is directed by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and has been the region’s lead economic development organization for the past 25 years. It is responsible for attracting new businesses, jobs and investment in the three-state, 15-county region.
It is funded through a five-year campaign with investment from nearly 150 companies and public economic development organizations.
In 2007, when the partnership reported 184 growth businesses, 6,109 new jobs and 14,822 retained jobs.
Cincinnati’s unemployment rate hit a 25-year high in January, climbing to 8.4% in January.
