Smith Electric van.Smith Electric Vehicles US will announce tomorrow the construction of an assembly plant in Kansas City, Missouri.

The US-British consortium expects to employ 200 people manufacturing all-electric powered delivery vans.

The assembly plant and support operations are expected to occupy existing buildings for now.

The average starting wage will be $44,236 annually, and the facility will employ 200 full-time workers within three years.
