IBM to Lay Off 334 in North Carolina

IBM says 334 workers will lose their jobs in Raleigh, North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, as the company prepares to lay off thousands of US workers.

The company employs 11,000 workers in Research Triangle Park, a sprawling business complex near Raleigh of more than 170 research and development companies.

Armonk, New York-based IBM plans to lay off about 5,000 US employees. It employs 400,000 people worldwide.
