KLA-Tencor Lays Off Another 550
Post Views 3Chip equipment maker KLA-Tencor has announced its second round of layoffs in five months, cutting its global workforce another 10%, or 550 jobs.
KLA-Tencor is also consolidating facilities, forcing workers to take time off and reducing employee stock purchase plan benefits.
The company makes systems that monitor and analyze silicon wafers used in microchip products.
The firm announced in November it would slash 15% of its workforce, or 900 jobs.
