ITG to Cut 100 North Carolina Textile Workers
Post Views 3International Textile Group has laid off 100 people at its plant in Greensboro, North Carolina. Three hundred jobs will remain at the plant, which produces Levis jeans.
The firm laid off 150 in December. Greensboro is a city of 260,000.
The company also will also close its new denim plant in Nicaragua.
International Textile Group is a diversified US fabric maker based in Greensboro. It acquired the assets of the former Burlington Industries out of bankruptcy in late 2003, and the assets of the former Cone Mills Corporation in 2004.
