Minor League Ballpark Creates Nevada Jobs
Post Views 0The Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada, opened late week with its first game, creating several hundred new jobs.
The park is the home of the Triple-A Reno Aces in the MiLB Pacific Coast League. Aces Ballpark is located next to the Truckee River, and is the centerpiece of a planned downtown Reno redevelopment effort, named the Freight House District. It has an attendance capacity of 9,100 seats.
Reno’s unemployment rate hit 11.2% in March, one of the worst in the nation.
At Friday’s first game, the Reno Aces beat the Salt Lake Bees by a score of 11-1.
The team is the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
