CSX to Cut 200 New York Jobs
Post Views 3CSX is cutting 200 jobs at the Frontier Yard in Buffalo, New York, according to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen.
The job losses will affect up to 25% of the workers at the rail yard, which currently processes 800 train cars a day. After the cuts, the yard will only process 400 cars.
Jacksonville, Florida-based CSX Transportation is a Class I railroad in the United States, owned by the CSX Corporation. It is one of the three Class I railroads serving most of the East Coast; it also serves the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
