Kansas flagThe state of Kansas lost 6,600 construction jobs, or 10.2%, since March 2008, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Kansas had 58,000 construction jobs in March 2009, down from 64,600 a year earlier.

The Bureau reported construction job losses for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with the sole exception of Louisiana, gained 4.7%.
