Greyhound Busing Texas Jobs to Ohio

Greyhound Lines will relocate an undetermined number of Dallas, Texas jobs to corporate parent FirstGroup America’s Cincinnati, Ohio HQ.

Positions in information technology, risk management, and the legal department will be moved from Greyhound’s Dallas headquarters and consolidated into FirstGroup.

Greyhound employs about 600 in Dallas.

FirstGroup purchased Laidlaw International, the holding company for Greyhound, in 2007 for $3.4 billion. FirstGroup is the US subsidiary of FirstGroup PLC of Aberdeen, Scotland.

Greyhound Lines is an intercity common carrier of passengers by bus, serving over 3,700 destinations in the United States. It was founded in Hibbing, Minnesota, USA, in 1914 and incorporated as Greyhound Corporation in 1929.
