Amerex Extinguishes 20 Jobs

Amerex has cut 20 jobs this week. The Trussville, Alabama-based firm manufactures fire extinguishers.

Twenty of the firm’s 90 Trussville employees were voluntarily furloughed, without a set return date. Those affected will keep their health insurance while furloughed.

A previously furloughed group is expected to return in August. The firm employs 550 nationally.
