Grifols to Create 190 Texas Jobs

Los Angeles-based Grifols will build a new laboratory in San Marcos, Texas, creating 190 jobs.

The firm is getting $500,000 from the Texas Enterprise Fund.

The San Marcos facility will feature a plasma testing lab and a fractionation plant, to supplement its California facility that will manufacture medicines derived from human plasma.

Barcelona, Spain’s Grifols, SA is a multinational pharmaceutical and chemical company. Principally a producer of blood plasma-based products, the company also supplies devices, instruments and reagents for clinical testing laboratories.
