usforestservice_160x120The US Forest Service will add 140 employees in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by January 2010. The jobs will pay up to $70,000 per year.

The agency has been consolidating its financial and human resources departments to its Albuquerque office.

The Forest Service will host a job fair September 9th at Albuquerque’s Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center.

The US Forest Service is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture that administers the nation’s 155 national forests and 20 national grasslands which encompasses 193 million acres. Major divisions of the agency include the National Forest System, State and Private Forestry, and the Research and Development branch.
