Fluor Cuts 500 Jobs in Houston
Post Views 12Fluor Corp., an engineering and constructions services provider, has cut 500 jobs in Houston after a contract with an overseas client was cancelled. The impacted employees work at the company’s Sugar Land facility.
Fluor is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Irving, Texas. It employs over 41,000 people globally and has offices in 25 different countries. Fluor had the contract to build the Trans-Alaskan pipeline in the 70’s, and is currently replacing the eastern span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, scheduled to be completed in 2013.
